Kara E Rohrstaff | Director

Kara E Design was established in New Zealand in 2016, focusing on interior design, consultation and owners representation. Kara E Design offers bespoke furniture, fittings and artisan finishes to create unique and intimate spaces. Kara and her team have collaborated with and worked for award-winning Architectural and Interior Design firms in the USA and New Zealand including Olson Kundig, Kerry Joyce, Holly Hunt, Studio John Irving, Fearon Hay, Herbst Architects & Cheshire Architects to name a few.

Kara’s works have been featured in magazines in both the USA & New Zealand. Kara became NCIDQ certified in 2000 and has enjoyed being part of ASID and IIDA.

Kara resides in Auckland and Te Arai with her husband, Jim and two sons.

Wendy East | Designer

Wendy joined the Kara E Design team in 2018 and brought with her years of styling experience. She has a keen eye for design and has been involved with projects ranging from private events to high-end personal residences as well as luxury commercial fit-outs. She loves getting into the details of a project where she is able to add those finishing touches making a space feel more personal and unique.
